Andri & Anastasis
Wedding in Kato Lefkara, Cyprus
How I met my man…
We met at a summer camp in Kalapanagiotis village and became friends. I didn’t see him for a long time, and then, five years later, when he was doing his military service, we met again by accident and started going out.

Then, he proposed…
We had already decided to get married, but the only thing missing was the official proposal. One Sunday afternoon, he painted the wall behind the clock with chalkboard paint and wrote: “Marry me!” …and that was it!
We got married in the chapel of Panagia Eleousa, in Kato Dry, in the summer.

The magic lies in the details!
The ceremony took place in a small chapel and the reception at a beautiful winery, so all the details we chose harmonized with the rustic mood.
We used pastel shades with a few stronger accents. The bouquet and the floral wreath for my hair were wonderful creations by our amazing florist, George Nikodimos, and they really surprised us.
If I had to highlight something from the decoration, it would be the baskets in the churchyard, the different flower arrangements and candles on the dinner tables, the gifts for our guests—homemade olive oil from our grandparents’ harvest, tied with a sprig of rosemary from my grandmother’s garden—and of course the decoration of our wedding cake.

The best wedding decision I ever made… and also the worst one!
The best decision we made about organizing our wedding was choosing to work with excellent professionals, who from the very beginning showed that they were willing to help us achieve the best possible result.

If I had to choose one favorite moment!
It’s hard to pick just one… Some of them were: meeting friends and relatives in the backyard of the house we had rented for the “allamata”, walking along the narrow village path from the house to the church, accompanied by musicians, family and friends, our entrance to the party after the wedding, and of course our first dance.

To the rhythm of our first dance!
For our entrance to the reception we chose “A sky full of stars” by Coldplay, and for our first dance, we chose our favorite song “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran.

If I could give some advice to a bride-to-be…
I would tell her to draw inspiration for her wedding from everyday, familiar things she loves.
Take a shot! Save everything you like on your phone. It’s very helpful for the professionals you’re working with to see your ideas and understand exactly how you imagine that special day.
Take a deep breath! Relax and enjoy every moment!

Oh, my wedding dress!
I knew from the very first moment I saw it on the site that this was my dream wedding dress. I had chosen it even before we decided on the wedding date. I visited Atelier Zolotas and, when I finally tried it on, reality surpassed my imagination. The embroidery, the lace, the fabric and the veil all matched my style perfectly. Everything felt so beautiful and special. My wedding dress fit the mood of our wedding exactly.
For the bridal party, the dress transformed into a crop top with a skirt and, paired with my flat sandals, I felt completely relaxed and ready to dance all night.

The amazing team at Atelier Zolotas took care of every little detail and every concern I had, to make everything exactly as I wanted. Everyone was a true professional and made me feel comfortable from the very beginning, so I had no doubt that everything would be perfect!
